DESTINATIONS
Khuvsgul lake This high mountain lake (1,645 m/5400ft above sea level) is surrounded by mountains, meadows and forest, a complete contrast to the rest of Mongolia. It's full of fish and the area is home to sheep, ibex, bear and moose, as well as over 200 species of birds. This is the deepest lake in Central Asia, and the world's 14th largest source of fresh water. You can hike along the shore, take a dip in the icy waters or try your hand at fishing. An amazing 90 rivers flow into the lake, but only a single river flows out - the Egiin Gol, which ultimately reaches Lake Baikal in Siberia. You will visit the Reindeer people who live in the area... [More...] Orkhon waterfall Waterfalls from a height of 20 meters at Orkhon waterfall, which is locally known as Ulaan Tsutgalan. The width of the stream at point where it forms the spectacular waterfall is 10 meters. The road to the waterfall is not easily accessible, owing to rocky surface of the area along the bank of Orkhon river. By jeep, it normally takes over three hours to get to the fall from Karakorum, which is 85 kilometers away. [More...] Erdene zuu Monastery Erdene zuu, the first of Buddhist Monastery in Mongolia. Was built next to the ruins of Mongolia’s ancient capital it Karakhorum in 1585 on the order of Abtai San Khaan. Historical records suggest that the remnants of the capital building it were used in the construction of the Monastery. Today this beautiful monastery contains 108 stupas and attracts numerous tourists to see one of the best examples of traditional Mongolian Buddhist architecture. [More...] Hustai Nuruu National Park After two hours drive to the west from Ulaanbaatar, you will arrive at Hustain nuruu Natutal reserve. In this forest steppe zone, the takhi, or Przewalski horse, the last true wild horse in the world, is being reintroduced. The takhi disappeared from the Gobi desert in the 1960 and world was left with small capital breeding population of horses in European zoos. [More...]

Itineraries

Day 01 Ulaanbaatar Arrival to Ulaanbaatar and check in hotel. Day 02 Khustai Nuruu National park After breakfast, we will drive to the Khustai nuruu National park, where we’ll explore Przewalsky wild horse. Lunch – picnic. Then, Accommodation in tourist camp with breakfast, lunch and dinner. Day 03 Karakorum city & Erdene Zuu monastery After whole day driving with exploration of beautiful nature landscape with wildlife view and meet local people. Lunchbox. Then continue the journey and arrival in Karakorum city. Dinner and overnight in tourist camp. Day 04 Orkhon Waterfall Today’s journey goal is Orkhon waterfall – wonderful place, which falls from 24 meters and originated from volcano where lava flown like river and across the river Orkhon – biggest river in Mongolia, as well. See the edelweiss and alpine flora of Khangai region. Dinner and overnight in tent. Day 05 Tsenkher hot spa After breakfast, drive back to Tsetserleg administrative center of Arkhangai province. Lunch – picnic. Drive to Tsenkher hot spa, which water temperature reaches up to + 80 C degrees and have a bath under blue sky. Explore the local area by walking. Dinner and overnight in tourist camp. Day 06 Khorgo extinct volcano crater and Terkhiin tsagaan lake After breakfast, will drive to Horgo will explore and discover the Horgo extinct volcano crater, which crater deep is 200 meters, and Terkhiin tsagaan lake – good spot for bird watching and fishing. Lunchbox Horse – exploring their lifestyle and cooking. Dinner and overnight in tourist camp. Day 07 Taiga After breakfast, will drive from Khangai region to Taiga region passing through high mountains, which covered by larch and explore the wildlife. Lunch and dinner in the nature. Overnight in tent. Day 08 Murun city Expedition will be continued by driving to the north /Khuvsgul province/. On the way will explore Taiga region nature and wildlife and meet local nomad people. Lunch and dinner in the nature. Overnight in tent. Day 09 Khuvsgul lake Discovering the Khuvsgul lake is great interesting and amazing activity, which is top attraction of country and explore it by walking or horse riding – horse rent is available in local place, which covered with birch trees surrounded the lake and meet local reindeer family and to fish near shores of lake. Lunch, dinner and overnight in tourist camp. Day 10 Ulaanbaatar Drive back to Murun city and have a flight to Ulaanbaatar. Arrival to Ulaanbaatar and will drive around 70 km to reach the National Park Terelj – most exciting place near the city. Lunch. Dinner and overnight in tourist camp. Day 11 Terelj National Park After breakfast, will explore the extraordinary formation of rocks and stones, which some of them looks quite similar with Turtle, person who reading book and others – by walking or horse riding. The Terelj National Park is one of the part of Khenty Mountain Range. Lunch. Then, we will visit local horse breeding family to experience the nomads way of life. Dinner and overnight in tourist camp. Day 12 Ulaanbaatar Today in the afternoon we have a flight to Ulaanbaatar. Shopping. Lunch. Dinner. Hotel. Day 13 Departure After breakfast, will be transferred from hotel to train station or airport.

Most meals are included as specified in the itinerary. Meal codes are: B=Breakfast, L=Lunch, D=Dinner.

Breakfast - Each breakfast will be served in your hotel. Breakfast selections include both Mongolian and Western dishes to meet every diner's taste.

Lunch - Lunches are normally arranged at the Mongolian restaurants near the scenic spots. Your tour guides will order food according to your appetite. Most are Mongolian dishes, and some are modified to fit westerners' tastes. A complimentary glass of beer or soft drink is served with lunch.

Dinner - Same as lunch. If you prefer to not eat Mongolian food, Gobi sunshine – Mongolia tours suggests you have dinner on your own. Your local tour guide can recommend some good western restaurants in the area.
