Karakorum-The ancient capital of Mongolia The Symbolic ruins of Karakorum, the ancient capital city of Mongolia is one of the most popular travel destinations along with Erdenezuu monastery, the second largest Buddhist monastery in the country. Karakorum city was established in 1220 and served as the capital city of the Mongolia for 140 years. [More...] Hustai National Park After two hours drive to the west from Ulaanbaatar, you will arrive at Hustain nuruu Natutal reserve. In this forest steppe zone, the takhi, or Przewalski horse, the last true wild horse in the world, is being reintroduced. The takhi disappeared from the Gobi desert in the 1960 and world was left with small capital breeding population of horses in European zoos. [More...] Erdene zuu Monastery Erdene zuu, the first of Buddhist Monastery in Mongolia. Was built next to the ruins of Mongolia’s ancient capital it Karakhorum in 1585 on the order of Abtai San Khaan. Historical records suggest that the remnants of the capital building it were used in the construction of the Monastery. Today this beautiful monastery contains 108 stupas and attracts numerous tourists to see one of the best examples of traditional Mongolian Buddhist architecture. [More...] Taikhar Rock Mysterious Taikhar Chuluu rock stands not from Tsetserleg town. The rock is steep sided pinnacle of granite with a height of 25 meters. It rises abruptly from the flat grassland in the Basin of Tamir River. Locals worship the rock as a deity. There is no common agreement amongst geologists about the origin of this puzzling phenomenon, and it remains an enigma. [More...]

Itineraries

Day 01 Ulaanbaatar
Arrival to Ulaanbaatar and check in hotel. City tour including of Gandan Monastery, Sukhbaatar square, Zaisan hill to preview whole city and one museum with optional varieties Natural History Museum. In the evening we’ll have exciting performance in Tumen Ekh Chuulga to see traditional folklore such as dance, song, mask dance. Hotel.

Day 02 Taikhar rock
After breakfast, we will drive to Tamir soum. Lunchbox. After arrival in Taikhar rock will explorie the river, nature landscape and wildlife by walking and can have good photo shots. Dinner and overnight in tourist camp.

Day 03 Khorgo extinct volcano crater and Terkhiin tsagaan lake
After breakfast, will drive to Horgo will explore and discover the Horgo extinct volcano crater, which crater deep is 200 meters, and Terkhiin tsagaan lake – good spot for bird watching and fishing. Lunchbox. Horse – exploring their lifestyle and cooking. Dinner and overnight in tourist camp.

Day 04 Khorgo extinct volcano crater
After breakfast, we will make horseback tour in Horgo National Park. Lunch- Pic nic. Overnight in tent.

Day 05 Horseback tour
We will make horseback tour in Horgo National Park. Lunch- Pic nic. Overnight in tent.

Day 06 Monastery Erdene-Zuu & Karakorum city
After breakfast, we will drive to Erdene Zuu monastry. The Kara-Korum – capital city of Mongolian Empire was founded in times of Chinggis Khaan - 12th century. Meanwhile, we will visit the Monastery – Erdene-Zuu, with 108 stupas and was built in 1586. Then will drive to the tourist camp. Lunch, dinner and overnight in tourist camp.

Day 07 Ulaanbaatar
After breakfast, will driveback to Ulaanbaatar. Lunch. We will have the tour with visit of museum. Shopping. Lunch. Dinner. Hotel.

Day 08 Departure
After breakfast, will be transferred from hotel to train station or airport.
